Whitey's Only Wish Rescue Inc in Coventry, CT

Whitey's Only Wish is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing puppies in need, inspired by my beloved Chow Chow, Whitey. For many years, Whitey and I would volunteer together, delivering supplies, food, and treats to local shelters and rescues. In 2011, Whitey faced a critical health crisis, and the veterinarian advised me to prepare for her passing. I stayed by her side in the hospital for three days, promising her that if she recovered, I would continue our mission to help other animals in need. Remarkably, she did recover, and to honor that promise, I have spent the past five years collaborating with various rescues and foundations to assist animals that require urgent care. In August 2016, I established Whitey's Only Wish Rescue, which received official 501(c)(3) recognition that same month. Now 14 years old, Whitey has become a surrogate mother to over 200 puppies since her recovery. Her companion, Kodie, a 12-year-old shepherd and Rottweiler mix, also plays a vital role in our mission.
