Adoption Process

The adoption process requires an application and a contract, as well as verification of veterinary references. Adoption fees vary depending on the specific animal. All applicants must be at least 21 years old. Any pets currently residing with the applicant must be spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations. For households with children under the age of seven, we will require an observation of the interactions between the children and the potential pet to ensure the safety of both. Furthermore, any dogs already in the home must be kept as indoor pets.

Animals have been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember. It started with dogs and cats and expanded to include wildlife such as squirrels, rabbits, opossums, birds, skunks, ferrets, and prairie dogs. This mission is deeply important to me, and I cannot envision a future where I am not there to help animals in need.
