Adoption Process

Every cat admitted to StreetCats undergoes a thorough physical examination conducted by a veterinarian. This comprehensive evaluation includes a 13-point check that assesses the coat and skin, eyes, ears, nose and throat, teeth and gums, legs and paws, heart, abdomen, lungs, intestinal tract, urinary tract, weight, and diet. If any health issues are identified, they are addressed before the cat is placed on our adoption list. Additionally, the cats are tested for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). A stool sample is analyzed for intestinal parasites, and the cats are dewormed. Flea treatment is administered, and necessary vaccinations are provided. Once the cat is evaluated and deemed healthy, a spay or neuter procedure is performed. This surgery takes place in a sterile environment, with constant monitoring throughout the anesthesia and recovery process. The total value of these services amounts to $300, excluding any additional treatments for medical issues that may arise. StreetCats is dedicated to ensuring that we adopt out healthy and loving cats at an affordable adoption fee. We depend on donations to help cover the medical expenses for our cats in need, as we strive to provide the best possible care. The love and companionship these cats offer in return is invaluable. For an adoption fee of only $75, you receive exceptional value. If you choose to adopt two cats, the fee is just $135. We also offer a Senior Discount, with an adoption fee of $65 for seniors, and $120 for two senior cats.

StreetCats, Inc. in Tulsa, OK

StreetCats, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter for abandoned and lost cats while facilitating their adoption into new homes. We exclusively accept adoptable cats and do not impose a time limit on the lives of healthy cats, ensuring they remain in our care until a suitable home is found. Our cats come from diverse circumstances, including situations where relocation or changes in family dynamics require individuals to seek new homes for their pets. We understand that these decisions are often difficult and beyond the owner's control. Our mission is to serve as a temporary haven for these cats until they can be placed in loving, permanent homes.
