Adoption Process

The adoption process involves several steps: submitting an application, completing a veterinary and reference check, meeting the dog, and signing an adoption contract. Finalization of the adoption occurs only after the animal has been spayed or neutered and fully vetted.

Pals For Paws is a dedicated dog rescue organization run entirely by volunteers who are committed to enhancing the lives of pets in their community. Our foster families offer love and training to homeless, abandoned, or abused pets, helping them heal and successfully transition into new, permanent homes. Our mission is to reduce pet abandonment and owner surrenders through adoption events, promoting affordable spay/neuter programs, and establishing a compassionate and informed network of foster homes. We aim to create a community where stray, abandoned, or neglected animals no longer exist, and where euthanasia is not used as a means of population control. We are dedicated to ensuring that unwanted, abused, neglected, or sick animals experience a positive and fulfilling life moving forward. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we proudly uphold no-kill and pro-spay/neuter principles. We rescue animals from overcrowded, high-kill shelters across the United States. Our team provides veterinary care, transportation, and foster care until we find the ideal match between our adoptable pets and their new families. At Pals For Paws, every donation and adoption fee directly supports our mission. Our volunteers often contribute personally to assist the animals in our care. We do not euthanize pets due to illness, heartworm positivity, or injuries; we provide necessary treatment for all conditions, regardless of severity. We strive to go above and beyond in caring for and socializing our animals, as we recognize the importance of understanding each pet to ensure they find the most suitable home.
