IndyCLAW, which stands for Creating Life-long Animal Welfare, originated as an informal group of animal care professionals, each with experience in rescue organizations. The organization was incorporated in 2009 and is currently in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

Adoption process
IndyCLAW's adoption process starts with the submission of an application. This is followed by a home visit and, if desired, an optional sleep-over with the pet. Once approved, adopters will sign an adoption contract, which includes a provision for returning the pet to our facility if necessary.
