Save The Satos in Jefferson, NJ

Save the Satos Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to animal welfare. The organization has a three-part mission: First, Save the Satos aims to improve the lives of stray dogs, known as "Satos," in Puerto Rico. The organization rescues adoptable dogs from the island, transports them to New Jersey, and ensures they receive proper care, including socialization, spaying or neutering, and medical attention, before placing them in loving homes. Second, Save the Satos provides support to pet owners in Puerto Rico by supplying essential resources such as food, shelter, spay/neuter services, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, vaccinations, and veterinary care to families in need. Third, the organization implements a Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) program for feral dogs that cannot be adopted due to their lack of socialization. This initiative aims to reduce the stray dog population by sterilizing these animals, preventing future litters of unwanted puppies.
