Adoption Process
The adoption process includes submitting a written application, conducting veterinary checks, performing home inspections, completing reference checks, and participating in interviews. The adoption fee is $400, and all dogs available for adoption have been fully vetted.

Jonah's Ark Animal Rescue in Whiting, NJ
Jonah's Ark Animal Rescue was founded with two primary goals. The first is to support our son, Jonah, who was born with a rare genetic disorder that has resulted in an intellectual disability and various medical challenges. Now 18 years old, Jonah has always demonstrated an extraordinary bond with animals, which continues to inspire us. Recognizing his deep love for animals and his compassionate nature, we felt compelled to create a meaningful outlet for him. Despite the challenges he faces, including the need for constant care and a prognosis from medical professionals that often seems disheartening, we have witnessed the profound purpose in his connection with animals. Our second goal is to rescue animals that have been abandoned or deemed hopeless by society. Many of these animals face grim outcomes, and we believe that every creature deserves a chance for a better future. By rescuing these animals, we aim to provide them with hope while simultaneously offering opportunities for individuals like Jonah to thrive. We have seen firsthand the transformative relationships that develop between animals and individuals with special needs, as they connect in ways that transcend typical understanding. Our mission is to facilitate these connections, fostering healing, hope, and love in both animals and people. Thus, our journey begins.
