Adoption Process

Applicants are required to complete an application that includes three references. Following this, a phone interview will be conducted with the applicant and the three references, one of which must be a veterinarian. Based on this process, the applicant will either be approved or denied, with an email sent to explain the reasons for any denial. The adoption fee is $90, and adopters will need to sign an adoption contract.

Our primary service areas are Camden and Gloucester counties; however, we do not restrict our rescue operations to these locations.

Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc. (FFRV) is a nonprofit organization operating as a 501(c)(3) entity, entirely run by volunteers. Our mission is to save the lives of homeless animals by providing them with safe and loving care in private homes until they can be placed in permanent, caring families. To address the issue of pet overpopulation, we ensure that all pets are spayed or neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. We take great care in finding suitable "Furrever Homes" for animals by thoroughly screening potential adopters. Our organization raises funds through special events and projects to cover veterinary care and food expenses. Additionally, we provide emergency medical assistance for injured or abused animals in our program through "Geronimo's Fund." We actively showcase homeless animals at various venues, including our PetSmart Adoption Center in Deptford, NJ, to facilitate their adoption. Furthermore, we conduct Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs for community and feral cats to promote their well-being.
