Adoption Process

The adoption process begins when a potential adopter submits an application. Once the application is approved, the adopter is invited to meet the dog. If the meeting indicates a good match, the adopter will complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, after which they can take the dog home. In Georgia, the adoption fee for adult dogs is $300. We also have a satellite location in Pennsylvania where some of our puppy litters are sent, and the adoption fee for puppies in Pennsylvania is $400.

Our primary service area is Rabun County; however, we also provide services throughout Georgia when space is available.

Another Chance Rescue Rehab & Sanctuary in Lakemont, GA

We began our organization five years ago this Friday and have since rescued 1,600 dogs. As a smaller operation, our facility includes housing for both our Director and Animal Welfare Manager, allowing us to be onsite with the dogs around the clock. We were established to address a critical need for additional resources in our county, particularly for sanctuary dogs. Our commitment to helping dogs in need is driven by our passion for their welfare. This rescue is truly our happy place.
