Adoption Process

Potential adopters must complete a comprehensive online application. Our trained application screeners adhere to established procedures while reviewing the submitted applications. Once an application is approved, adoption agreements are finalized. Volunteers then follow up with adopters to ensure a smooth adjustment for both the new pet and the family. Currently, the adoption fee is set at $35, as Pippi's Place collaborates with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their trap-neuter-return initiatives through adoptions. However, we plan to begin accepting our own rescues in the future. At that time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adult animals and $125 for kittens to help cover expenses related to spay/neuter services, medications, and other costs that will no longer be subsidized by the partnership with the animal control facility.

Service Areas

The organization serves the following areas: Lawrenceville, Georgia; Dacula, Georgia; Winder, Georgia; Auburn, Georgia; Snellville, Georgia; Gwinnett County, Georgia; and Barrow County, Georgia.

Pippi's Place Pet Rescue in Lawrenceville, GA

Pippi's Place Pet Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization committed to decreasing the population of unwanted cats and kittens. We achieve this through support of local Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs and by finding permanent homes for available felines. Our rescue efforts focus on animals who are homeless due to owner surrender, those who face danger from abandonment, neglect, or abuse, and cats at risk of euthanasia in local shelters. We carefully place feline companions in loving homes after a thorough screening process. This process ensures a good match between the animal and prospective adopter, while also educating potential adopters about the responsibilities of cat ownership. All cats and kittens in our care will be spayed or neutered and receive necessary veterinary care, including any treatments required. They will be housed in nurturing foster homes until they are adopted. We collaborate closely with local shelters and other rescue organizations to emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals. We aim to build a network of supporters and volunteers to improve the lives of homeless animals in our community.
