Adoption Process

When someone expresses interest in adopting one of our dogs, we ask them to complete an adoption application. This application is then reviewed, and the potential adopter is either approved or denied. For those who are approved, we schedule a meet-and-greet, which can take place either at the foster parent's home or the adopter's home. If the decision to adopt is made during this meeting but the dog is not yet ready for adoption due to pending spay/neuter procedures, we require a deposit to hold the dog until it is ready. At the time of adoption, the adopter will sign an agreement, receive educational materials, and be provided with the first month of heartworm and flea prevention. We will also process the payment or any remaining balance. All of our dogs undergo a thorough physical examination, spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a heartworm test (for those over six months of age), and microchipping before being made available for adoption. The adoption fee typically ranges from $250 to $400. Once an application is approved, a non-refundable deposit of 50% can be made to hold a dog until all veterinary care is completed. Prior to finalizing the adoption, we conduct home visits and verify veterinary references. Most of our dogs require fenced yards and single-family homes.
