Adoption Process

Our adoption process begins with the completion of a two-page application form. Each application is reviewed by two adoption coordinators. If there are any questions or concerns, we will discuss them with the potential adopter before making a decision on the application. Once an application is approved, we assist the adopter in selecting a cat or dog that suits their family and lifestyle. After a pet is chosen, we conduct a home visit and/or a meet-and-greet. If everything is satisfactory, the adoption paperwork is finalized, and payment is made. Our adoption fees range from $150 to $300, except during special event sales. We require that kittens be adopted into homes with another young cat or in pairs, and we offer discounts for adopting two or more. All cats must be kept indoors, and we do not allow declawing. The only exceptions for outdoor access are on a leash or for barn/feral cats, for which we assist with TNR Barn programs when possible. For dogs, we require a home check and a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs. We do not permit debarking or the docking of ears or tails. Adopters must use monthly flea and heartworm prevention, and all adoptions require that the pet be returned to us if the adopter can no longer care for it.

Service Areas

Our service areas include Kennesaw, Acworth, Hiram, Dallas, Smyrna, Woodstock, Canton, Marietta, and the greater Metro Atlanta area.

Renegade Rescue Inc. in Kennesaw, GA

Renegade Rescue GA was established after our team gained experience working with various organizations, where we observed inadequate attention to finding quality adoption homes and providing basic care for sick animals. We decided to take a different approach. In Georgia, the absence of spay and neuter laws has resulted in a significant population of stray cats and dogs. Our focus is on prioritizing quality over quantity, ensuring that every animal is placed in the best possible forever home.
