Red Clay Animal Rescue is a dedicated nonprofit organization focused on ending pet homelessness and alleviating animal suffering in the Savannah area. We provide compassionate care to a limited number of homeless animals with treatable injuries or illnesses, primarily sourced from local shelter systems, who would otherwise face euthanasia. These animals are placed in foster homes until they are adopted or transferred to other local rescue organizations. Another key aspect of our mission involves facilitating transfers between shelters, particularly from high-kill facilities with poor live release rates and inadequate medical care to those with higher adoption success rates. These transfers often necessitate medical interventions, such as sterilization, testing for infectious diseases, and vaccinations, prior to relocation.
