Perfect Pets Rescue, Inc. in Poughkeepsie, GA
In metro Atlanta, countless dogs and cats of various ages and breeds are brought to county-run Animal Control facilities each day due to abandonment, neglect, or abuse. Many animals are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them or who no longer wish to keep them. Unfortunately, when pets are turned in to these facilities, there is a 70 percent chance that they will be euthanized. Older dogs and cats, as well as poorly socialized purebreds, mixed breeds, and those that are sick or injured, are often euthanized immediately. While some animals may be placed up for adoption, the high volume of incoming animals frequently leaves shelters unable to house even the healthy, adoptable ones for long. This is where Perfect Pets Rescue, Inc. plays a vital role. We primarily rescue dogs from local shelters. Once rescued, these dogs receive vaccinations, treatment for parasites, and are spayed or neutered. In some cases, additional medical treatment is necessary. All rescued animals are placed in foster homes where they can experience a nurturing environment. Over time, each dog is positioned in a loving home where it can heal from the trauma it has endured. As they settle into their new surroundings, these dogs undergo remarkable transformations. Their emotional, physical, and spiritual wounds begin to heal. Shy and fearful dogs become healthy, playful, and affectionate companions. They learn to engage in play, build trust, and live without fear or confusion, ultimately becoming the pets they were always meant to be. It is important to note that we are a small, registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which limits the number of dogs we can rescue at any given time. Our success relies heavily on the support of volunteers who are willing to open their hearts and homes to our rescue dogs. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our foster families whose kindness and generosity make our work possible. We could not achieve this mission without your support.
