About this shelter
Hop-A-Long Hollow in Norwalk, CT
Hop-A-Long Hollow is an animal shelter located in Norwalk, Connecticut, about 1 mile northwest of the city, in Fairfield County, where it is one of 37 animal shelters and rescues serving the area. It operates as a 501(c)3 rabbit and small animal rescue incorporated in 2004, and in its first 18 years placed over 1,500 rabbits and small animals into new homes and foster care. The rescue spays or neuters rabbits before adoption to help reduce accidental breeding, and works alongside other animal rescue organizations to provide knowledgeable care. Beyond rehoming, it offers education on proper small animal care, particularly for rabbits, through adopter resources, pet store events, local zoo visits, and area school programs.
