Adoption Process

Our organization adheres to established adoption standards and policies to ensure the responsible placement of animals. For detailed information regarding our fees, please refer to our adoption fee schedule. Prospective adopters are required to complete an adoption application and sign a contract as part of the adoption process. We are proud to serve as a placement partner with Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control.

Shining Horse Farm and Sanctuary Inc in WEST PALM BEACH, FL

We are a rescue and rehabilitation facility, as well as a shelter for domestic pets and livestock. Our organization began with a focus on horses, but as the demand for small animal care increased in our growing western community, we expanded our efforts. Currently, we receive over 80 to 100 stray animals each month in Western West Palm Beach, many of which are abandoned. We aim to change this situation by collaborating directly with Animal Care and Control to rescue domestic pets, specifically cats and dogs, in order to alleviate shelter overcrowding and demonstrate that these animals can make wonderful family companions and loyal friends.
