Adoption Process
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please visit our website to complete the adoption application for the specific dog you would like to adopt. The adoption process starts with submitting an application on our website. Once we receive your application, it will be reviewed, and we will contact your veterinarian and personal references. Approved applicants will be contacted for a meet-and-greet in the order that applications were received. Following this, we will conduct a home visit before finalizing the adoption. The duration of the adoption process can vary, as we are an all-volunteer rescue organization. Please keep in mind that our volunteers are balancing this work with their jobs, families, and other commitments. We appreciate your patience as we contact references, schedule meet-and-greets, and arrange home visits and adoptions that accommodate both your and our schedules. Our priority is to place our dogs in loving homes as swiftly as possible. Please note that all adoptions require a home visit, and you must reside within 100 miles of Dayton, Ohio. We may consider adoptions to neighboring states for those who can provide a virtual tour of their home and come to pick up the dog. However, we encourage local adoptions, as distances beyond this can create challenges for our rescue if circumstances do not work out.

Paw Patrol Dayton in Kettering, OH
Paw Patrol is a dedicated team of volunteers committed to enhancing the quality of life for dogs in our community. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we operate entirely through volunteer efforts. Our mission is to rescue and rehome neglected, abused, or unwanted dogs into loving families. We provide shelter for outdoor dogs through lean-tos or doghouses to ensure they remain dry and warm. Additionally, we offer alternatives to chaining outdoor dogs to improve their living conditions. We advocate for the importance of spaying and neutering dogs, providing this service to our community. We also educate the public about the negative impacts of dog tethering and assist dog owners with resources to help them keep their pets happy, healthy, and out of the overcrowded shelter system.
