Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an application. We conduct reference checks and contact the veterinarian provided by the applicant. There is a $75 adoption fee, which covers the costs of sterilization, vaccination, and testing for feline leukemia and FIV for all our cats prior to adoption. We do not adopt to individuals who intend to declaw their cats; however, we do not disclose this policy until after the application is submitted to ensure honesty from potential adopters. Additionally, adopters are required to sign an agreement stating that the cat must be returned to us if, for any reason, they can no longer care for it.

Black and Orange Cat Foundation in Plain City, OH

We were established two years ago to address the issue of cat overpopulation in the predominantly rural community of Plain City, Ohio. Our organization focuses on trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs for feral and stray cats. Additionally, we assist low-income residents in having their cats spayed or neutered. Through these initiatives, we often encounter friendly cats and kittens, which we then place for adoption. We have secured cage space at PetSmart, which significantly aids in finding homes for these animals. Our community is characterized by many farms and low-income households where cat sterilization is often neglected, presenting a significant challenge that we are committed to overcoming.
