Adoption Process

To adopt a pet from Wright-Way Rescue, interested individuals should complete an online application available on their website. Following approval, they can reserve a time to meet the pet they are interested in, but reservations should only be made if they are serious about adopting that pet. Wright-Way Rescue operates two locations: the North Shore Humane Center and the Admission and Medical Services Campus. The specific location of each pet is noted in their online profile. All pets that are ready for adoption will be transported to the North Shore Humane Center in Morton Grove. To inquire about a pet's location and availability, adopters should call the Adoption Hotline. Additionally, pets can be adopted directly from the Admission and Medical Services Campus in Murphysboro, IL, where reservations can be made by calling 618-208-1509. For those who prefer a more casual approach, visits are welcome at the North Shore Humane Center, located at 5915 Lincoln Avenue in Morton Grove, IL. The center is open Thursday from 2 PM to 8 PM, Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM. It is closed Monday through Wednesday. All animals at Wright-Way Rescue are up-to-date on their medical care. The adoption fee covers current vaccinations, including Canine Influenza, initial deworming, microchip and registration, a veterinary check with a health certificate, and a 30-day free trial of pet health insurance. The adoption fees are as follows: puppies under 9 months are $385, puppies over 9 months and adult dogs are $335, kittens under 9 months are $140, and kittens over 9 months and adult cats are $125.
