Adoption Process

The adoption process involves completing an application, checking references, conducting a home visit, and ensuring that the animal meets all family members, including other pets such as cats or dogs. Once these steps are successfully completed and the animals have received all necessary medical care, the adoption can be finalized. Adoption fees are as follows: for dogs under 2 years old, the fee is $325; for dogs aged 2 to 6 years, the fee is $285; and for dogs 6 years and older, the fee is $165. Kittens are available for $125, and adult cats can be adopted for $95.

Hoof Woof and Meow Animal Rescue is a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue organization. We are a coalition of dedicated volunteers and professionals, including rescuers, transporters, foster caregivers, veterinarians, humane societies, investigators, and shelters, working together to advocate for and save homeless animals throughout Illinois. Our mission is to eliminate unnecessary deaths and inhumane treatment of all animals. We achieve this by coordinating and providing qualified foster homes, transportation, care, and medical attention for homeless and mistreated animals rescued from kill shelters and communities. We are committed to finding permanent homes for the animals in our care and educating the public about issues related to mistreatment and overpopulation, as well as the importance of comprehensive spay and neuter programs.
