Domestic Animals in a Safe Haven in Centralia, IL

In the community, there was a significant need for a rescue organization where individuals could surrender their animals for various reasons. I have dedicated much of my adult life to animal rescue in different capacities. In Florida, my focus was on exotic animals, including Florida panthers, lions, tigers, servals, and wolves. I recognized the local need in areas affected by poverty, which often results in the abandonment or neglect of unwanted animals. Other contributing factors included the death of pet owners or relocations. Ultimately, my deep love for these vulnerable animals has driven my ongoing commitment to rescue and shelter work.

Adoption process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an online application, which will be forwarded for review. References will be checked, and veterinary information will be verified. We will also assess the applicant's living conditions for the rescue animal, including aspects such as fencing, indoor living arrangements, and caregiver availability. If necessary, the animal will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. The adoption fee is $100 to $150 for dogs and puppies, and $75 to $100 for kittens and cats. A follow-up contact will be made after the adoption.
