Adoption Process

The adoption process includes the submission of an online application, followed by reference checks and a home visit. Once these steps are completed, an adoption contract will be signed, and an adoption fee will be required.

Crossroads Shih Tzu Rescue in New Lenox, IL

Crossroads Shih Tzu Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu mixes that are at risk of euthanasia in shelters, have been released from puppy mills, or are in other challenging situations. Our mission is straightforward: to rescue as many Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu mixes in need as our resources permit, to prepare them for adoption through rehabilitation, and to find the best possible permanent homes for them. We strive to make a difference one dog at a time until no dog is left behind.
