Adoption Process

Our adoption process involves several steps to ensure a good match between the animal and the adopter. This includes conducting interviews, reviewing applications, arranging meet-and-greet sessions, performing reference checks, and carrying out home inspections. Additionally, an adoption contract must be signed, and an adoption fee is required.

Our organization is located in Western Idaho, but we are committed to rescuing animals from beyond the state's borders. We collaborate with various rescue organizations in Oregon, Utah, and Arizona.

Rockys Rescue in Nampa, ID

Rocky's Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization located in Western Idaho. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned dogs from overcrowded animal shelters, as well as to assist dogs in precarious situations where they face the risk of abuse, neglect, or euthanasia. We place these dogs in temporary foster homes where they receive socialization, spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and treatment for any medical or behavioral issues that may affect their chances of adoption. Additionally, Rocky's Rescue offers support to individuals and other animal rescue groups that are fostering dogs but are unable to continue their care for various reasons. We firmly believe that rescued animals thrive best in loving homes, which is why our organization operates solely on a foster-based model. Our ultimate goal is to foster a world where every companion animal has a loving and permanent home, ensuring that no good-natured dog, regardless of age, is euthanized in shelters due to being deemed surplus or unadoptable. We encourage everyone to save a life by adopting, fostering, or donating.
