Adoption Process

Potential adopters are required to complete an application, submit references, and participate in an interview. Upon approval, they must sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee. This fee is refundable if the dog is returned within two weeks of the adoption date.

Save the Strays Animal Rescue in Camden, SC

Save the Strays has been dedicated to rescuing abandoned and unwanted dogs since 2003. Our mission is to find loving homes for these animals, ensuring they are treated as valued family members. Dogs that are not adoptable will remain in our care for their entire lives. We operate as an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue and are incorporated as a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and public charity. All donations made to our organization are tax-deductible and are used exclusively for the care of our dogs.
