Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with potential adopters completing an adoption questionnaire. After reviewing the questionnaire, we will schedule a home visit. It is important to note that completing the questionnaire does not guarantee adoption. The adoption fee, which is $250 for puppies and $180 for adult dogs, is due at the time of scheduling the home visit. If the home visit is successful, we will proceed to complete the adoption agreement and microchip paperwork. However, if the home visit indicates that the environment is not suitable for the dog or puppy, the adoption fee will be refunded.

Alaska Animal Advocates in Wasilla, AK

AAA is a no-kill dog rescue organization located in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley in Alaska. Established in February 2014, we are a relatively young group, but our board members bring years of experience in animal rescue. We rescue dogs and puppies from across the state, placing them in foster homes where they receive vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, spaying or neutering, and treatment for any medical issues prior to adoption. In addition to facilitating adoptions, we are committed to supporting families in Alaska in keeping their pets. To this end, we offer low-cost vaccinations and microchipping services, as well as a pet food bank that is supported by generous public donations for families facing challenging circumstances. For those who can no longer care for their pets, we also provide free advertising on our website to help them find new homes.
