Adoption Process

All prospective adopters are required to complete a detailed adoption application and sign an adoption contract. The process includes a phone interview, a meet and greet with the dogs, and a home visit with the dogs. Additionally, we require that all current pets be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention, which will be verified through a veterinary reference. The adoption fee is $250.00.

I have always had a deep passion for animals. Previously, I worked as a kennel manager for a pitbull rescue in Georgia for several years, and I have recently moved to Alabama. Unfortunately, this area has a significant population of stray and abandoned animals, coupled with a lack of resources for rescue and veterinary care. There are no municipal or county animal control facilities available to assist these animals. The only existing rescue in the area is the Randolph County Animal Shelter, a private organization that can accommodate about 30 animals at any given time. With the support of my mother and sister, I have the opportunity to establish and operate a rescue on our family property. This venture will allow me to pursue my passion for rescuing dogs and finding them loving forever homes. The need for assistance in this small rural community is urgent, as the number of animals abandoned on the roads is alarming.
