I am a business owner based in Wilmington, North Carolina, and I have begun collaborating with organizations in the Turks & Caicos Islands to address the issue of homeless Potcake dogs on the islands. The Potcake Project is supported by SaveDog Project, Inc., a non-profit dog welfare organization that I founded in 2014. Our mission is straightforward: we aim to provide homeless Potcake dogs with the opportunity to find loving forever homes. We consider Potcakes to be our clients and are dedicated to exceeding their needs and expectations, one wagging tail at a time. We also seek to support other potcake rescue organizations with the shared goal of connecting adoptable potcakes with caring families. Additionally, we plan to advocate for well-structured spay and neuter programs, which are essential in addressing the ongoing issue of homeless and unwanted Potcakes in the Turks & Caicos Islands and the Bahamas.

Adoption process

We have a structured adoption process that includes an application, a review, and a home visit before approving the adoption of a Potcake Dog. Our adoption contract is available upon request. Adoption fees vary based on the individual dog and currently range from $0 to $150.

Service area: SaveDog is based in Wilmington, North Carolina, and will provide services in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, as well as the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Bahamas through our Potcake Project.
