Adoption Process

Our adoption process includes a home visit when feasible, as well as the submission of an application that includes references and information about your veterinarian. To ensure a safe and stable environment for our dogs, we require a fenced yard for all adopters. We also conduct a meet and greet with the dog and the potential adopter, which includes family members and any other dogs in the household. Additionally, NDFD requires the signing of a contract, and adoption fees start at $125.

Receiving photos months later of a happy, relaxed dog enjoying their new life motivates us to continue our work, as we find fulfillment in these moments.
