Paws of Love, Inc. in Monticello, MS

Paws of Love, Inc. is a community-focused initiative dedicated to restoring faith in animal welfare in Lawrence County and providing hope for abandoned and neglected animals. This group of volunteers is committed to addressing the gap in our community created by the absence of a local animal rescue organization. Our mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals through shelter, adoption, transport, education, and advocacy. We invite you to help us. We are currently seeking to find loving, permanent homes for the dogs in our care, as the shelter building requires significant repairs that are best accomplished when it is empty. Adoptions are our top priority at this time, and we cannot accept additional animals until necessary renovations are completed. Though our volunteer staff operates on irregular hours, we encourage anyone interested in meeting our dogs to reach out so we can arrange a visit. We also welcome your financial support. Paws of Love, Inc. was established from the ground up, and your monetary donations will greatly assist us in caring for the animals and planning for building repairs. Contributions can be made at any BankPlus branch, through our PayPal link provided below, or by mailing checks to Paws of Love, Inc. at P.O. Box 416, Monticello, MS 39654. We received nonprofit recognition under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), effective August 1, 2023, making your contributions both appreciated and tax-deductible. Additionally, we invite you to join our membership. Connect with individuals who share your passion for helping animals and participate in volunteer opportunities, community outreach programs, and events that foster a more compassionate society for animals. Our board of directors consists of dedicated volunteers: Kim Brister (President), Jeremy Robbins (Vice President), Kristen Williamson (Treasurer), Dana Watts (Secretary), Brittany Mullins, and Heather Calhoun-Kearney. At Paws of Love, Inc., our mission is clear, and our operations are transparent. We appreciate your support in ensuring that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve.
