Ocooch Mountain Humane Society is a non-profit, tax-exempt humane society located in Richland Center, Wisconsin, within Richland County, about 50 miles east of Madison. It is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing shelter and care to stray, unwanted, or abandoned animals throughout the Richland County area, working to place cats and dogs in healthy, humane homes while offering education on responsible animal care to the community. Three other animal shelters or rescues also serve Richland County. Volunteer opportunities include working at the adoption center, fostering dogs, and helping with annual OMHS fundraising events.
