Second Chance Animal Shelter is located in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in Boundary County, about 90 miles southwest of Spokane, WA. It is the only no-kill animal shelter in Boundary County, dedicated to serving as a faithful steward for abandoned, lost, homeless, and abused animals and finding each one a lifelong, loving home. The shelter welcomes visitors to view available pets during business hours and operates a thrift store to support its adoption efforts. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and closed Sunday and Monday.

Prospective adopters must complete a separate application for cats or dogs (available online or as a downloadable PDF) and pay an adoption fee—$50 for a cat/kitten or $140 for a dog/puppy, with a microchip fee added for cats.
