The Humane Society of Wickenburg is a no-kill animal shelter serving Wickenburg, Arizona, and the surrounding rural areas of Maricopa County, where 90 other animal shelters and rescues also operate. Its mission is to enrich the lives of animals and enhance the lives of people by joining them in loving relationships, and to encourage responsible pet ownership through public awareness and humane education. The organization is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit that relies solely on private donations, receiving no tax dollars or government funding, and is not affiliated with any other humane society, SPCA, or the ASPCA; it also offers dog and cat surrender programs and uses grant funds from Arizona Pet License Plates to help offset spay and neuter costs in the community. Located about 45 miles southeast of Glendale, AZ, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
