H S V Animal Welfare League has served Hot Springs Village, Arkansas for 35 years as an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill organization. Located in Garland County, roughly 40 miles east of Little Rock, it works cooperatively with the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association Animal Control to rescue, vet, and place adoptable cats and dogs, and it also runs an active spay/neuter program to help prevent pet overpopulation. The shelter has no paid staff, relying entirely on donations, memberships, and grants, with 100% of donations going directly to animal care. It's open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and closed Sundays, and three other animal shelters or rescues also serve Garland County.
