HALO Animal Rescue in Phoenix, AZ

HALO Animal Rescue is a rescue organization located in Phoenix, Arizona, roughly three miles northeast of the city, within Maricopa County, home to 90 other animal shelters and rescues. With over 30 years of experience, HALO serves as a safety net for thousands of homeless dogs and cats each year and never euthanizes an animal simply to make room for others. Every animal in their care receives the veterinary treatment and nurturing needed to set them and their new families up for success. The shelter is open Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00AM to 5:00PM, and Thursday and Friday from 11:00AM to 7:00PM.

Adoption process

Prospective adopters fill out a Matchmaker Form ahead of an in-person visit to one of HALO's adoption locations, and can choose a "Staycation" foster trial period before committing to adopt certain pets; adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, and a microchip.
