The Oasis Sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue and lifetime sanctuary care of parrots living in captivity, including macaws, cockatoos, African greys, conures, and other Psittacine birds. It was incorporated in the State of Arizona on May 22, 1997, and currently cares for around 800 birds on an annual budget of $1.6 million. Rather than rehoming birds for adoption, the sanctuary emphasizes a life-long commitment to each bird's care, offering sponsorship programs and volunteer opportunities for those who want to support its mission.
