Foothills Animal Rescue is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization based in Cave Creek, Arizona, in Maricopa County — about 15 miles northeast of Phoenix — and one of 90 other animal shelters and rescues also located in the county. What began as a small foster-based rescue in 1995 has grown into one of the Valley's most trusted animal welfare organizations, helping more than 1,000 dogs and cats find brighter futures each year through adoption, foster care, and community support. Adoption fees range from $0 to $300 depending on the animal and age, and include vaccinations, a microchip, and the spay/neuter procedure. The organization also operates two non-consignment resale boutiques, Daisy's Rescued Goods, with 100% of proceeds supporting its lifesaving work.

Sign an online Meet & Greet waiver before visiting, then visit the shelter on a first-come, first-served basis to discuss your household and lifestyle with staff, meet and interact with pets you're interested in, have an adoption consultation, and finalize the adoption by completing paperwork and paying the adoption fee.
