Now celebrating 25 years in rescue, GRRoW is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has rescued over 3,000 golden retrievers, relying on foster homes to rehabilitate dogs and prepare them for adoption. Its mission centers on combating the mistreatment and neglect of golden retrievers through rehabilitation, spaying and neutering, and placement in nurturing foster homes, while also educating the public on responsible dog ownership and discouraging careless breeding. The organization is funded through donations, fundraising, and an online shop, since it depends entirely on volunteers and community support to cover the rising costs of medical and rehabilitative care.
