Our Mission: The primary mission of the Greenbrier Humane Society is to protect animals from neglect, abuse, and exploitation. We advocate for their interests and welfare while fostering awareness and compassion for all living beings. Our Goals: We aim to save as many animals as possible through adoption and foster homes by placing them with responsible caregivers. We promote zero population growth by encouraging spaying and neutering of animals. We provide educational programs to the local community and area schools to raise awareness about the responsibilities and rewards of pet ownership and to prevent animal neglect and abuse. We investigate cases of cruelty, abuse, and neglect, working diligently to rescue affected animals. We ensure compliance with state, county, and city animal laws and ordinances to promote responsible pet ownership. Additionally, we offer a humane shelter for unwanted or lost animals in the local community.

Adoption process
Our adoption process includes a two-page agreement for all animals that are already spayed or neutered. For those animals that are too young to undergo this procedure, there is an additional spay/neuter contract. The adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $85, which covers the spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccination, deworming, flea treatment, and nail trimming. For cats and kittens, the adoption fee is $65, which similarly includes the spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, FVRCPC vaccination, deworming, flea treatment, and nail trimming. All adopters must be at least 18 years old and are required to present a valid driver's license or identification.
