Adoption Process

The adoption fee is $40.00, of which $25.00 is refunded in the form of a spay/neuter certificate, which can be used when the surgery is performed. Applicants are required to complete a questionnaire and review an adoption contract. Additionally, a copy of the West Virginia Spay/Neuter law will be discussed with adopters, as spaying or neutering is mandatory when adopting from our facility. Adoptions can be completed on the same day.

We provide services to all cities, towns, and counties in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, as well as Washington County in Maryland and Frederick County in Virginia.
