Animal Friends of Barbour County in Philippi, WV
Animal Friends of Barbour County is an animal shelter located in Philippi, West Virginia, in Barbour County, about 35 miles north of Morgantown. Its mission is to provide a home for abandoned dogs and cats until they can find their "forever" home, sometimes caring for animals for a very long time before that special match is made. The shelter, physically located at 23 Valley Bend Road in Belington, relies on volunteers and offers discount vouchers to help county residents with limited income cover the cost of spaying and neutering their pets. It also regularly brings adoptable cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies to the Uniontown, PA PetSmart store to help find them homes.
