Adoption Process

At the time of adoption, there are spay/neuter fees of $55.00 for dogs and $45.00 for cats, along with a $15.00 purchase fee. We require that all dogs and cats adopted from our shelter be spayed or neutered, and the cost of this surgery is included in the adoption fee. A certificate will be issued to the pet owner, which is valid at all veterinarians in Davis County and most veterinarians throughout the state of Utah. Potential adopters must complete an adoption application and will be interviewed by an Adoption Specialist. The adoption process can typically be completed in less than an hour once a pet is selected. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption based on the information provided in the application, the interview, or failure to meet adoption requirements, including confinement and sterilization. Our staff will provide comprehensive information at the time of adoption. Adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment that significantly impacts the well-being of your new companion.
