Friends for Animals Adoption Shelter in Granbury, TX

We are a small non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) dedicated to providing a no-kill adoption shelter for homeless and abandoned pets. Every dog we accept undergoes a personality assessment to ensure compatibility with kennel life. All dogs are tested for heartworm, and those that test positive receive appropriate treatment. Our dogs have access to spacious, covered outdoor runs, and in inclement weather, they are housed in indoor kennels. For our cats, we conduct FIV and leukemia testing before intake. We do not accept cats that test positive, as we aim to protect all our residents from disease. We maintain a cageless environment for both kittens and teenage/adult cats, promoting a more natural and enriching atmosphere. All animals are spayed or neutered, and for those too young at the time of adoption, we provide vouchers for the procedure once they reach the appropriate age. We also ensure that all animals receive vaccinations and deworming immediately upon intake. Please note that we do not accept Pit Bulls or Chows into our shelter. Our mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these animals, serving as their advocates and striving to find them the best possible forever homes.
