About this shelter
Duck Team 6 in Richardson, TX
Duck Team 6 is an animal shelter located in Richardson, Texas, in Dallas County, roughly 9 miles southwest of Dallas, and shares the county with 52 other animal shelters and rescues. Founded in 2010, its mission is to reduce the street dog population in the Dallas area through Capture, Placement, and Outreach. The organization captures stray, injured, abused, and homeless dogs from the streets and partners with area rescue groups to place them in permanent, loving homes. Its Community Outreach program also helps local Dallas residents care for their pets by providing basic veterinary services like vaccinations and sterilization, emergency surgery, and even doghouses and fencing so pets don't have to live on a chain.
