The adoption process has three steps: complete an adoption application, attend a Sunday Open House to meet available Dobermans, then work with the rescue to select and bring home the right dog.

Doberman Rescue of North Texas (DRNT) is a rescue organization based in Grand Prairie, Texas, located in Dallas County alongside 52 other animal shelters and rescues in the county, about 15 miles east of Dallas. DRNT is a 501(c)3 non-profit that has been rescuing and rehoming unwanted and abandoned Doberman Pinschers since 1994, with thousands of dogs adopted over the years. As a 100% volunteer-based organization, it provides pre-adoption veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, heartworm testing, medical treatment, spaying/neutering, microchipping, socialization, and obedience training, taking in dogs with medical issues that other rescues might turn away. The organization also runs foster and volunteer programs, including hands-on volunteering at its Doberhof facility, and works closely with adopters to match each dog with the right home.
