Aggieland Humane Society in Bryan, TX

Brazos Animal Shelter was established in 1981 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and opened its facility at 2207 Finfeather Road in Bryan in 1983. The shelter accepted animals from the City of College Station, the City of Bryan, Brazos County, and surrounding areas. On July 1, 2011, the shelter relocated to 5359 Leonard Road, where it began accepting stray animals from the City of College Station and regions served by the Brazos County Sheriff's Department. The contract with the City of Bryan concluded on August 31, 2011, following which all animals found within Bryan city limits were taken to the Bryan Animal Center on Finfeather Road. In the fall of 2012, the organization changed its name to Aggieland Humane Society (AgHS) to better reflect the spirit of the community it serves.
