About this shelter

Freinds of Pets of Klamath Basin in Malin, OR

Friends of Pets of Klamath Basin is an animal shelter located in Malin, Oregon, in Klamath County, about 140 miles north of Bend, OR, with one other animal shelter or rescue also serving Klamath County. Operating since 2001, it is a private spay/neuter facility and no-kill feline adoption facility, only euthanizing to end suffering from non-treatable illness or serious behavioral issues. The organization spays or neuters roughly 1,200 felines each year through its in-house Spay Day program and its partnership with Klamath Animal Clinic, and it maintains a free-roaming environment for the small number of cats available for adoption, all of whom come through its spay/neuter program rather than direct public surrender. As a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization, it relies on donations to fund its spay/neuter mission for the felines of the Klamath Basin.
