Save the Animals Foundation (STAF) is a volunteer-driven, no-kill animal shelter in Cincinnati, Ohio, located in Hamilton County alongside 16 other area animal shelters and rescues, about 6 miles southwest of downtown Cincinnati. The organization focuses on the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats, working to alleviate their suffering and help each one find a loving home. STAF is funded entirely by donations and powered by more than 400 dedicated volunteers, currently caring for over 300 cats and dogs and providing shelter care 365 days a year. Since its founding, STAF has helped thousands of animals find permanent, loving homes.

Adoption process
Applicants browse adoptable dogs and cats, submit an online application, and meet the animal by appointment; a required follow-up visit (and for dogs, possibly a fence check or trial home visit) confirms the match before adoption is finalized. Adopters must be 21 or older, and dog adoptions cost $275 while cat adoptions cost $40.
