Animal Rescue Center is a nonprofit, no-kill 501(c)3 rescue organization located in Eastlake, Ohio, in Lake County, about 15 miles southwest of Cleveland. It is dedicated to the care, rehabilitation, and adoption of domestic animals throughout Northeastern Ohio, and strongly supports spay/neuter efforts to decrease the number of homeless pets. Six other animal shelters and rescues are also located in Lake County. ARC notes that it differs from other rescue organizations in several fundamental ways, reflecting its own distinct organizational philosophy.
