Adoption process

Local adoption fees are structured as follows: For dogs, the fees are determined by gender and weight. Male dogs weighing under 50 pounds are $80, while those over 50 pounds are $88. Female dogs under 50 pounds cost $88, and those over 50 pounds are priced at $95. For cats, the adoption fees are $75 for females and $60 for males. All adoption fees cover spaying or neutering services at Carolina/Virginia Animal Hospital, located near the shelter, as well as the first rabies vaccination.
