About this shelter

All Bassets Cherished Basset Hound Rescue in North Collins, NY

All Bassets Cherished Basset Hound Rescue is a rescue organization based in North Collins, New York, in Erie County, about 20 miles north of Buffalo—one of 23 other animal shelters and rescues located in Erie County. Since its founding, the rescue has helped more than 2,153 basset hounds find new homes, working through a network of foster homes across New York and Pennsylvania. Adopters go through an application process that includes a veterinarian reference check and home check, and the rescue also takes in surrendered dogs and even young puppies rescued from difficult situations like agricultural auctions and puppy mills. Proceeds from its affiliated online shop, The Slobber Shoppe, help fund medical care for the bassets in its care.
